The proof of Jesus

1 Peter 3:15 "But set apart Jesus as Lord.Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that is in you. Christianity-The truth or not the truth...Two methods to evaluate evidence1) Scientific method- based on proving something is a fact by repeating it in a controlled environment 2) Legal/historical method-proving something is a fact beyond a reasonable doubt. 3 questions that have to be answered to prove Christianity is the truth: 1.Is the Bible a credible document?The Bible written in a time period of 1500 years by 40 authors on 3 continents with 1 theme,is the Bible we read today an accurate copy of the original document? We don't have a single original document of the Bible or any ancient historical writing because it was written on paper. Bibliographical test-test between the date of original copy to the date of first copies. New testament=20,000 copies within 25 years of original. Homer's Iliad=643 copies within 500 years of original. Did the people who wrote the original documents have the ability to record what actually happened? N.T. Gospels=Matthew-one of 12,Mark-close friend of Peter who was one of 3 closest to Jesus,Luke-scholars say is one of the greatest 1st century historians,John-one of 3 closest disciples to Jesus. These four were all eyewitnesses. They wrote the gospels close enough to the time Jesus lived that if they didn't write the truth people would have discredited their writings. Therefore,the Bible is the most credible,reliable,accurate document in the history of the world. 2.Is Jesus really the son of God? There are over 300 prophecies in the Old Testament written over a period of 1,000 years and Jesus fulfilled every one!!! What are the odds of someone fulfilling all of these prophecies and not being the son of God? The odds of fulfilling 48 is 1 in 10to the 157th power. 1 in 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 and then some. The odds of fulfilling 8 is 1 to the 17th power. 1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000. Jesus fulfilled all 300 and the chance of that happening and not being the son of God is impossible!!!! People say Jesus wasn't the son of God,but that he was a good teacher and moral prophet: John 14:6,Matthew 10:32,Matthew 20,Luke 10,and Mark 18...He predicted death and resurrection. So,the only options in deciding who Jesus is are that he is either a liar,a lunatic,or the son of God. 3.Did Jesus really rise from the dead? People say Jesus wasn't really dead on the cross. When you die by crucifixion,there is a build up of fluid around the membrane of the heart. Evidence that he died is in John 19:34-"but one of the soldiers pierced his side and at once blood and water flowed out." The water would have been the clear fluid that filled up around the membrane of Jesus' heart. It would have been a medical impossibility for Jesus to have faked his death. Another argument: if he did die,the disciples stole the body,the government had 4 Roman guards guarding the tomb because Pilate knew Jesus predicted he would rise again. 10 of 11 remaining disciples died a martyr's death-died because they claimed Jesus was the Son of God and that he rose again. If they had stolen his body,they wouldn't have died for a lie. This evidence proves Christianity is the absolute truth.
