Deep in the heart of all people is a belief in happy endings. We want a happy ending in our movies and novels, and we yearn for a happy ending in our life. When asked what they want for their children, parents sometimes say, “I just want them to be happy.”
I was sixteen years old when I learned that a happy ending is only possible in Jesus. My younger brother, Mitch, and I were running late one August evening. We both played football and we wanted to begin two-a-day practices fit and ready for b…

So this year I got to go to Falls Creek again and I was like YEAH!! Woohoo! Falls Creek again! This is going to be soo fun, but when I got there and was listening to the messages it wasn't the same camp that always touched the heart and made you emotional. So as the week drags on [and I do mean drag] I still don't feel anything at all towards whats being said and my only thoughts were "well God uhh why aren't you speaking to me" and things like that. So I decided to use my one hour with my phone…

The love God has put in my heart has been the calling to pray for my hometown. I pray for revival and for His people to come back to Him. For salvations, protection and what ever the needs and hurts my friends and neighbors have and for the lost, sick and poor in spirit this town may experience, they need prayer. We who are called to GO. We are being obedient to the calling. That's what is going on in Hobart America. Its a life changing experience and it's cool. People are also be…

I can't say my thoughts have been meaningful or dramatic. Rather simple and plain. I find that to be a lot less stressful. I've been thinking about my next school year, (Junior OMGosh scary!) things I want to write, and someone who's very close to me now (my boyfriend). It's all been a little crazy.
I have a really bad habit of dwelling on these things. Though some can be good, others tend to make a person go insane. Like the Junior year thing,…

I was born and raised in church. When I got saved I was 11. I was at church camp (GLBA), and when the speaker gave the invitation (it was like an in your seat thing, not go down to the alter) I did the ABCs and asked Jesus into my heart.. Then shyly poked Audrey Crawford, a sponsor sitting next to me, and told her what I had just done. I was so excited! When I got back home I told the family, and then talked to my pastor about getting baptized. I was saved in June 2005, and got baptized in Augus…

Oh it was such a blessing to my heart. They wanted me to bring my guitar and sing a song this morning for the children in Vacation Bible School. I was happy to do so. Those children came and sat on the front row, while I sat on the stool and we all sang, "He's Got The Whole World In His Hands." All their beautiful smiles was worth all 3 minutes of it. When I got done, I shook each child's hand and said God Bless You. They just grinned and I know they enjoyed it. So many times I sing in Church an…

Ever wonder if you could truly trust someone? How about whether or not you could trust something? Well to most people, truth is simply relative as to how does that truth relate to me, or who sees this as truth. Well, the truth of the matter is that truth is truth. Just as black is black and Pepsi isn't Coke. If truth was relative, truth wouldn't exist at all. Speaking of truth, is there anything you can prove beyond a shadow of a doubt to be true at all? The answer simply is only…

Have you ever given thought to where your thoughts come from?
The answers could be many different things, but usually, our thoughts are caused by the things around us. An example of this is when you smell or see something you think is delicious, it might give you an appetite or make you hungry. When someone tells you something, your mind processes it and you respond to it. That's only part of the explanation though.
Scientifically, thoughts are said to origi

Growing up I have always went to church. There are two guys that I have grown up with and I have always looked up to them. Starting at a young age I begin to notice something different with them. They always had a spark of passion I didn’t have. I never really understood what was going on until the summer when I was nine. My Sunday school teacher said some things that made me think. I beg

I gew up in family where were in church almost every time the doors were open. I had been taught the Bible and knew most of the "Bible stories" by heart. However when I was 10 yrs. old I came to realize that no matter how well I knew the Bible or how good I was, if I were to die right then, I would not be going to heaven. I needed to give God control of my life and to begin a personal relaitonship with Him. It became clear to me that "God so loved PATRICIA that He gave His only be…

I was at Vaction Bible School, eight years old. I felt like God was talking too me the all week. The preacher said if you feel like God is calling you too ask him in your heart and you want too become a follower of Jesus Christ then go too the back. I went too the back and someone talked too me. About a year later i was baptised with my twin brother. And God has been with me through thick and thin. =D Continue

Falls creek really opened my eyes & has showed me how wrong i have been living. Last year at Falls Creek i watched some of my best friends get saved and some of them hold back. I was saved a couple years before at a church childrens camp that we call kids Camp, i didn't fully understand it but I do remember the AMAZING feeling that washed over me. Falls Creek really helped find the piece to the puzzle that I was missing & that puzzle piece was the understanding of who God really i

Evangelism. Just the word itself sends most people running, screaming for the hills. It is something we as members of God’s church know we should be involved in, but are too intimidated to figure out how. Through the years there have arisen many fad programs and methods that were effective in their time, but have since faded in both popularity and effectiveness. These techniques seem to always explode on the scene with enthusiasm and then just as quickly fade into the horizon. Why? Maybe it is b…
