My father died at a young age and I grew up being very independent. I felt like I had things under control and could take care of every situation myself. But somewhere deep inside I had an incredible sense of unrest. I felt empty inside and knew that something was missing.

I had religion "crammed" down my throat, and

After 11 years of running from God's call on my life, I found my self in Las Vegas Nevada. But, let me back up a bit to give you the full story. I had been working for La-Z-Boy in Neosho, Mo. where money was fast becoming my God. Sandra (my wife) and I were at each others throat, when all I really wanted to do was fall off the face of the earth. Since I would never commit suicide, I decided to leave my wife and two children to go to Yellowstone and canoe all the wayback to Jefferson City, Mo.

"Jesus revealed His love to me through a conversation with a Korean Christian"

Although I had been raised in church, I was seven years old when I started asking questions about the importance of Jesus, why we go to church, and eternal life. The next Sunday, my dad and I talke…

Whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy_meditate on these things. Phillipians 4:8
Things that are true__means not false or unreliable, but genuine and real.
Many things in the world are deceptive and illusory, promising what they can never supply. We should set our thoughts on that wh

LOST- The Final Season is at last here. With a great deal of anticipation as well as expectation, I was looking forward to this “final season” of one of the most popular television shows in history. Somehow I thought that ultimately all of my questions would be answered or at least a few of them. Reality hit me after tuning into the first few episodes. Clarity is farther away than ever. I am totally LOST!

I didn't grow up in Church, I went some to a Methodist Church in Midland, Texas. I remember almost nothing of that. In my high school years in Okalhoma City, I played basketball and softball for a couple of rather large Baptist Churches. I played on their Youth Teams, and the Men's Team at one particular church would take me to play shortstop for them when they played in Tournaments. I remember that the Pastor was the Pitcher. Sadly to say that thru all of this I was never ask if I had a Rela

Psalm 18:2 (New Living Translation) 2 The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety.
Remembering the day when future concerns began weighing heavily on my mind. It was as if a boulder hit me on the head and sent me crashing to the ground. Admittedly, I was flattened. During my

1 Peter 3:15 "But set apart Jesus as Lord.Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that is in you. Christianity-The truth or not the truth...Two methods to evaluate evidence1) Scientific method- based on proving something is a fact by repeating it in a controlled environment 2) Legal/historical method-proving something is a fact beyond a reasonable doubt. 3 questions that have to be answered to prove Christianity is the truth: 1.Is the Bible a…

Seems like over the years no matter where I go or where I have been God has always sent Christian friends in my path that encourage me along life's pilgrimage. People are not much different no matter where you go. We all have our hopes, our dreams, our problems, our insecurities. We all seek love, assurance and acceptance. We all want a true friend who accepts us for who we are. We want to be like and appreciated.
As much as I love to meet new people and travel to new places I

Crowder Band...This is one brave young man to praise God in a place this busy and be totally committed to what he is doing. I pray too that God would give me this humility and courage to praise Him in all places and at all times. God bless this young man and thank you 316 for sharing and inspiring Christians everywhere.
God is good to all of us and never turns his back of us..so we should never turn our back on the opportunity to praise Him.

For God so loved Kevin, Me!! Wow 23 years later and I am still amazed that He chose me. I was a drug addict, alcoholic and ruined a lot of girls lives. I had made a decision for Jesus at the age of 8-9, unfortunately it was not a heart decision and by the age of 12, I was running fast and hard from God. At 15 my parents split and I stayed with my dad.The rest was history. I had so many opportunities and only chose one, the world.…

having grown up in church, I have heard the name of Jesus as long as I can remember. But it wasn't until I was on my own in college did I fully become aware of who He was. I had gotten to the point in my life where living for myself was not cutting it. I had lost everything, the girl I thought was going to make me happy dropped me, the friends I thought I had left me and all that was left was an angry, selfish human being. Like I said before I had heard the name of Jesus my whole life. My parent…
